Our environment

At Bradbourne Park our environment is planned to encourage thinking and independence. We are fortunate to have sole use of our large building and the environment, activities and resources constantly adapt to reflect the children's current interests.

When children are playing they are learning!

Playful exploration is a child's natural way of discovery and at Bradbourne Park we aim to provide safe but challenging environments which allow children to pursue their curiosity, use their imagination, take risks, make choices and experiment.

Children have free access to our materials and resources and are encouraged to access them independently and move between areas as they choose - books, loose parts, construction, small world, craft, painting, playdough, role play and usually something messy!

Our bathroom has child-sized toilets and washbasins and each child has a hand towel on a named peg.

We have another large room which is used both as a cloakroom and for eating at both snack and lunch times.

Our large landscaped garden provides a wealth of year-round learning opportunities and we spend time outdoors every day whatever the weather.

Our all-in-one waterproof suits keep the children warm and dry outdoors (we have one for every child and keep them at Pre-school).
